Every country has its own animal travel rules. It can be overwhelming to figure out. Dr. Robertson is USDA Accredited to issue health certificates worldwide. A Vetable housecall makes the process simple and convenient, allowing you to travel hassle-free from home.

The Health Certificate Process - Simplified

Step 1 -

Who, What, Where, When & Why

We need to know about your trip to help you get ready. Some countries like Japan need 6-9 months of planning before you can visit, while others need just 7 days. If you're traveling within the United States, you often need a health certificate, which can be obtained on the same day as your appointment (typically within 10 days of travel).

  • Please reach out to us using this form or call/text us at 720-388-6221 to get the process started. The more notice, the better.

Step 2

The in-home appointment

Once the timing of your trip has been shared with us, we will let you know when you need to be seen to get the exam and paperwork started. This ensures your pet is safe to travel, and will not be turned away upon arrival due to health issues (external parasites, contagious disease, etc), Should your animal require vaccination(s), microchip, deworming, rabies titer testing, or other care prior to travel these are completed here.

Digital Paperwork - We participate in the USDA’s electronic health certificate system. If your destination country allows, we can eliminate most or all of the snail-mail paperwork and its delays by submitting to the USDA electronically. Depending on your destination’s requirements, the finalized stamped paperwork is either emailed back to you, or mailed overnight to you.

Step 3 -

Head to the airport

Once your paperwork is finalized by the USDA and returned to you, we’ll advise on any other steps necessary and give you helpful advice for a successful journey.

Note: If you are transiting/connecting through a 3rd country on the way to to your final destination, a transit health certificate may also be required.
